The Internal Combustion Engines lab consists of 4 experimental setups, a Total 10 Nos. Practical’s in the Lab Manual. This lab course is primarily being offered to the Third Year B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering Students to make them understand the basic construction of two-stroke and four-stroke diesel and petrol engine. The lab also contains basic parts of an engine like the carburettor, Fuel injection system, engine cooling system. The primary objective of this course is to provide the fundamental knowledge necessary to understand to make students familiar with the design and operating characteristics of modern internal combustion engines and to study thermodynamics, combustion, heat transfer, friction and other factors affecting engine power, efficiency and emission.
