INFORMATION

The College Library is Functioning under the Open Access System is having a Total collection of 11363 volumes of books with 1852 titles covering all the branches of Engineering, Science and Humanities and general fields. 52 National journals are being subscribed in our Library.

Database of the Library Software is well furnished and computerized using LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Software. The Library Transactions (i.e. issues and return of books) are carried out by Bar Code Technology.

The college library has Separate E-Library Computer Cell for accessing the online Journals and Internet.

The college library has got the DELNET Membership to access
E-Journals, E-books, Thesis, Dissertation and other Databases.

Library Working Hours:
Monday to Saturday : 09.15 am – 5.15 pm

GENERAL RULES

  • Silence shall be observed strictly in the Library.
  • All the students must have identity card while entering in library.
  • All the students shall sign in the entry register at the entrance of the Library.
  • Personal books, or any times of personal materials will not be allowed inside the Library.
  • Before entering in to the library students should switch off the cell phones.
  • Library will remain open from 09.15 am. To 5.15 pm on working days. (Book Issue time: 09.45 to 04.45 ) [Break: 12.15 to 12.45]
  • Books should be returned as per date given. If books are not returned by that day then a fine of Re 3/- per day will be taken from the students.
  • Do not spoil the book in any way. If the student is found to do so, then the double cost of that book will be collected as fine.
    Reference books will not be issued.
  • For the use of reference books & journals the students have to login in related section register.
  • On demand & need of Librarian, student will have to show their identity card.
  • Students should not use Library during Lecture hours. However they may use Library during practical hours with the permission of concerned Head of Dept.
  • Before using the book every student must check the book. If any Defect is seen he should immediately inform the Librarian. However on submission, if any book is found to be defected or any spoilage of pages, then the student will have to submit the new book or double cost of that book.
  • Students are always welcome to give their opinion to improve the library activities to the Librarian.

BOOK ISSUE RULES

All the students can obtain their library borrowing tickets on production of fee Receipt issued by the college/Acpc. The number of borrowing tickets issued to the students and staff is as follows:

  • Borrowing tickets are not transferable.
  • Members are responsible for all books borrowed against their tickets.
  • Students are to produce their ID card at the time of borrowing tickets.
  • Books other than reference books will be issued to student member on loan for a period of 14 days and books will be issued to staff for a period of six month.
  • Reference books and Journals will not be issued; but are available for study within the Library.
  • Tearing of sheets from books and newspapers is strictly prohibited and is punishable. Members must satisfy themselves whether the books are in good condition, before they leave the counter. If any damage is noticed, the same must be immediately intimated. Otherwise they will be held responsible for any damage.

FINE AMOUNT RULES

  • Incase of default in the return of books, Rs.3/- per day per book will be levied . All holidays will be included in arriving at the number of days of overdue.
  • Loss of borrowing cards and books should be reported to Librarian immediately.
  • Duplicate tickets will be issued on payment of Rs.50/- per ticket.
  • In the event of any book being lost, it shall be replaced by same copy by the concerned and overdue charges will be levied. In case the borrower is unable to replace, twice the cost of book and overdue charges, if any, will be levied from the borrower.
  • Final year students should return all the books and surrender library borrowing tickets on completion of the course and obtain “No Dues Certificate”.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

The Digital Library consists of 6 Computer terminals with online archives of Useful books and online Journals. The college Library has got the DELNET Membership to access E-Journals, E-books, Thesis, Dissertation and other Databases URL for this is: http://delnet.nic.in

The Digital library is provided with good Internet Facility.
