Words from head of department

A warm welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering. It gives me immense pleasure in welcoming, on behalf of the Dr Jivraj Mehta Institute of Technology. Electrical Engineering is a part of every industry, from power generation and distribution to environmental, manufacturing, semiconductor, optics and telecommunication technologies. The department is well recognized for its excellence in teaching, placement, technical consultancy and service to the profession. Our faculty and students have made important contributions to engineering, science and technology. Also, the IEEE student chapter is governed by the department whose mission is to be the leading provider of scientific information on Electric Power and Energy for the betterment of society. Department history

The B.E. course in Electrical Engineering of DJMIT, Mogar, Anand, was started in 2010 and has been keeping pace with the latest technology in industries. We have always maintained a policy of providing students with state-of-the-art systems with the regularly upgraded curriculum. The department has well-experienced faculty members in our field. The department has enrolled a few candidates for PhD. Hence the department is getting fully equipped to undertake research & development in the state of the art technology. Areas of Electrical Engineering – Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Switchgear, Power Systems Engineering, Control System, Circuits and Networks, Electrical measurement, Computer application in Electrical Engineering.

The Electrical Engineering Department is going to being recognized locally, statewide, nationally and internationally as a leader in electrical engineering research and education.
